I spend most of my day futzing with settings on desktop computers and browsing the internet looking for the newest cool shite. When I get home from work it’s sort of a toss up; Some days I love to surf the web and some days I check my email and put it away. Today is one of those days where I have Stop Making Sense on the projector, a glass full of bourbon and nothing to do but stumble my way around. SOme of the things that have rocked my world today:
- I don’t know much Talking Heads, but there really is something about the energy of this movie that’s just captivating. David Byrne is absolutely nuts, but he’s a rubbernecker’s wet dream. You just can’t look away! Hell, I don’t even like The Talking Heads!
- Have you ever noticed that the only people that use complicated interfaces, flash intros or other invasive web designs are design companies themselves? Everybody else has basically the same layout… a banner, a horizontal menu and a couple columns of articles/content. Designers are silly. Too bad they make awesome t-shirts…
- Why is it not surprising that someone felt the need to create an “American take” on a deep fried food that’s disasterous to your body before it’s altered? Even worse is the truly American version….
- This man is a freaking moron. Why would you ever try to wrestling a wild animal larger than yourself with only a rope around it’s neck?
