But I don’t want to hop on a plane. I’m thinking seriously about traveling to south-east Asia on a freighter. Sure it’s more expensive, but it’s a strangely compelling idea for life experience. Besides, what could be better than sitting at a bar in a strange port of call, chatting with other travelers who ask where you flew into and replying “I didn’t.”
